Title 24 is a new energy code that California has adopted to reduce energy consumption. Starting October 2005, all new and remodeled homes must incorporate high efficacy lighting or lighting control devices.

Choices include the following:

  • High Efficacy Lighting (fluorescent, compact fluorescent, or high-intensity discharge)

  • Occupancy Sensors

  • Dimmers
